Keralty demands that the Petro government "repair EPS Sanitas" and describes illegal intervention as "an attack on fundamental rights."

Following the Constitutional Court 's most recent ruling officially returning control of Sanitas to the Keralty Group, the company lashed out at the national government, headed by President Gustavo Petro.
The company stated in a recent statement that the intervention carried out by the National Government was not "an administrative error," but rather "a frontal attack against the fundamental rights of millions of Colombians."
The health agency said that today, after three years of struggle, the Constitutional Court restored what "was taken away from them" and described the intervention as "illegal, arbitrary, and profoundly unjust ."
'Dismantle a health system' According to the statement, Keralty believes the ruling not only recognizes the illegality of the intervention of EPS Sanitas , but also "exposes a deliberate strategy to dismantle a health system that has efficiently served millions of Colombians."
He also expressed his gratitude for the courage and integrity of the Colombian justice system. However, he noted that "this is not a day of celebration, but of suffering."
Keralty demands that the government "repair EPS Sanitas" Keralty called on the National Government and demanded that it immediately comply with the ruling of the Constitutional Court.
"This mandate is a legal and moral imperative, disobedience of which would be a further attack on the rule of law," he said.
In the letter, he also requested reparations for the damage caused to the healthcare network , to healthcare personnel, and to the millions of affected users. "We demand effective and immediate reparations for the incalculable damage caused... to those who deserve justice and dignity," he added.
“Abandoned patients, shortages of essential medicines, collapsed healthcare networks, and a health system eroded to its foundations are the legacy of a supposedly improvised 'transformation,' lacking in planning and devoid of humanity,” said Joseba Grajales.
